This shady park area is a good place to stop and rest before exploring the rest of the Gardens. The Gardens were opened to the public, in a limited fashion, for the first time during the reign of Peter Leopold of Habsburg-Lorraine. Today, besides being open to the public for a very modest admission fee, the Gardens host a variety of cultural performances such as concerts both large and small, especially during the high tourist season.
