The "Kaffeehaus" was a later addition to the Gardens. Designed in an airy rococo style by Zanobi del Rosso, it was added at the behest of Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo between 1774 and 1775. Its original colors were green and white. More fine views of the Florentine skyline can be had from here. In that direction, a short distance along the path from this vantage point, is the Fountain of Ganymede. The present Ganymede sculpture is a copy of Stoldo Lorenzi's marble original, which dates from the 2nd half of the 16th century.
