The "Kaffeehaus" was a later addition to the Gardens. Designed
in an airy rococo style by Zanobi del Rosso, it was added at the behest of
Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo between 1774 and 1775. Its original colors were
green and white. More fine views of the Florentine skyline can be had from
here. In that direction, a short distance along the path from this vantage
point, is the Fountain of Ganymede. The present Ganymede sculpture is a copy
of Stoldo Lorenzi's marble original, which dates from the 2nd half of the
16th century.
